Shannon Tara Kalić (she/her) is a beadworker, workshop facilitator, and reconciliation educator of Red River Métis, French, Ukrainian, and Polish heritage from Winnipeg, Manitoba. As the Red River Métis are known as “flower beadwork people,” Shannon began beading in 2016 to reconnect with her roots. Since launching her business Waabishki Miigwan Creations in January 2021, she has developed a distinctive collection of beaded earrings, hats, necklaces, moccasins, gauntlets, and other accessories.
