What GatherNorth is
GatherNorth is a Canada-wide directory for people who want to find Indigenous businesses, source suppliers, and connect with organizations that support Indigenous economic development. Commercial businesses are kept separate from governments, institutions, and community-serving organizations, while useful connections remain easy to explore.
The current data product includes 7,304 business profiles, 1,170 organization profiles, and 72 financing programs.
What you can do here
Search for businesses by service, category, community, or location; explore organizations that may offer relevant support; review potential financing programs; and use current statistics to understand what the directory contains.
How information is handled
Profiles organize categories, locations, and factual descriptions from published directory, registry, and business sources. Indigenous identity and ownership are never inferred from a name, location, appearance, or website language. Listing labels explain what the source supports. They are not GatherNorth certifications or endorsements.
Help keep the directory useful
Business owners and authorized representatives can suggest a new business. Anyone can request a correction. Every submission is reviewed before public information changes.
