Pemmican Publications Incorporated ("Pemmican") was founded as a non-profit organization in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1980 by the Manitoba Métis Federation. We are the only Red River Métis owned and operated publishing house in Canada. We have published more than 150 titles. Genres include history, biography, Canadian cultural and linguistic studies, adult fiction, poetry, and illustrated stories for young and early readers. Pemmican can also design and print content for both Red River Métis and the General Public.
