About
Lillian Strahl is a Wife, a Mother, a Grandmother, and a Great Grandmother. She is a proud Red River Métis Woman. She is originally from a small community in Northern Saskatchewan, in Buffalo Narrows. Her Grandmother Celina and her Auntie Mary, are her inspiration for her beading. She is relatively new to beading, making her first pair of mukluks in 2016. Since then, she has made brooches, earrings, lanyards, moccasins, and more mukluks. She has had many mentors on her journey, teaching her different techniques and having patience to help her learn along the way. In 2022, she started a Zoom class, teaching her grandchildren and her great nieces how to bead. This was rewarding and fulfilling for Lillian as well as her students. She is honoured to be selling her beading at the Red River Métis Marketplace!
