About
Gary is a self taught Métis artist who has been carving wood for over 30 years. He harvests all his own Manitoba hardwoods, including burls which are the most beautiful of all. Recently he has used the Lichtenburg technique which involves putting 2500 volts of electricity onto dampened wood, resulting in a beautiful pattern which is then filled with coloured epoxy. Chainsaw-carved feathers are another specialty he loves to do.
