About
The objective of the Fund is to stimulate economic development activities of Métis people and communities by providing equity for Métis businesses, support to community economic development initiatives, and assistance for the development of the management skills of new and existing Métis business owners and entrepreneurs. The Clarence Campeau Development Fund (CCDF) was established by The Métis Society of Saskatchewan Inc. subject to an Agreement with the Government of Saskatchewan dated June 11, 1997. In September of 2001, an amendment to the Gaming Act recognized CCDF in legislation, and a new agreement between the province and the Métis Nation – Saskatchewan Secretariat Inc. was executed in December 2002.
